Richard Clement Welsh, who died on Monday morning, was born in this city in 1854, and was the son of the late Patrick Welsh. Mr. Welsh was a printer by trade, having learned the business at the Times office. He served in that capacity for twenty-five years, and was then appointed one of the first mail carriers in the city, serving in that capacity about fifeteen years. He was a man who had many friends in this city.
Mr. Welsh is survived by an aged mother, a wife, three sons, Charles, Vincent and Raymond; two brothers, John and P.F. Welsh, the latter of Minneapolis; two sisters, Misses Mary and Margaret of this city. The funeral will be held at nine o'clock Wednesday morning from the residence, 1840 Washington street, to St. Patrick's church, thence to Mt. Olivet cemetery.
