Joseph Kehoe was born in Farley on Sept. 19, 1889. Joseph was the son of John C. and Mary (Locher) Kehoe. He received his education in Farley, attended Holy Cross School and later St. John’s College in Minnesota. In June 1909, Joseph married Rose Elizabeth Schwendinger of Epworth. The Kehoe’s eventually moved in 1929 to Waterloo. Joseph died April 19, 1951 and was buried at St. Joseph’s Catholic cemetery in Farley their children included: John, Laurence, Evelyn Marie Junk, Ione LaManita Bernardy, James, Charles, Donald and Joseph.

Joseph Kehoe was active in many organizations in Farley and served on the town council.
