Rev. E. H. Waring has received the sad news of the death of his son at Unionville, S. C., on the 26th of February. Young Waring listed for the U. S. Army at Chicago on the 9th of February last, and being assigned to Troop “M” 7th Calvary, stationed at Unionville, S. C., was on his way to his Troop, about 20 miles from his destination, when he was run over both legs by a railroad car. How the accident happened, nobody knows. He reached Unionville in a dying state, and died about an hour afterwards (6 p.m.).
