Mrs. Julia Ann Connell, a venerable resident of this city for thirty-five years, died last evening at the family residence No. 1329 Clay street.

She was 74 years of age. The cause of her death was old age, and the extreme debility incident to one of her years.

-- --

Mrs. Julia Ann Connell, one of the old residents of Dubuque, died at her residence in this city on Friday, February 26th, 1886, 74 years of age.

Although in delicate health for many years, her death was the result of old age and general feebleness, aggravated by an accident which occurred several months ago, rather than of any particular disease.

She was the widow of George W. Connell who was an alderman from the Third ward of this city in the years 1854-5, 1860-1 and 1862. He died in May 1873.

Mrs. Connell was born in 1812, in West Virginia, from where she removed to Chillicothe, Ohio, where she was married. She came with her husband to Dubuque in 1846.

She was the mother of Mrs. P.W. Crawford, Mrs. H.V. Waite, Taylor J., and John Connell, also of Drayton L. Connell who died about three years ago.

The funeral will take place to-day (Sunday) at 2 p.m. from her late residence 1329 Clay street. The pall-bearers are Robert Armstrong, J.C. Paine, C.H. Berg, Edwin Hancock, R.M. McKinley and Wm. K. DeLorimier.
