Kathy A. Clemens-Pickering, 58, of Cheyenne, Colo., formerly of Dubuque, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at Pathways Hospice Center, Loveland, Colo.

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at North Christian Church, with the Rev. Mark Perry officiating. Private family burial of her cremated remains will be held prior to services. Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.

She was born on Jan. 8, 1953, in Dubuque, where she resided for 31 years. She married D. Leeds Pickering on Dec. 28, 1974, in Dubuque.

She was a special education teacher for Laramie County School District 1 for 23 years.

Surviving are her husband, D. Leeds Pickering; two daughters, Kate (Jose) Ramirez and Rosi (Joe) Allen, both of Cheyenne; a sister, Jean Stierman, of Solon, Iowa; two brothers, Albert "A.J." Clemens and Richard Clemens, both of Dubuque; and two granddaughters, Gabby Ramirez and Regan Allen.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Colter Allen; her parents, Albert and Evelyn Clemens; and a brother, Michael Clemens.
