Terrence E. "Terry" Clemens, 57, of Sunnycrest Manor, Sunrise Unit, died peacefully at 9:35 a.m., Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Sunnycrest, surrounded by family and friends after a short illness.

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:30 to 8 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a parish wake service at 4:30 p.m.

He was born on Oct. 19, 1943, in Dubuque, son of Eldon and Jeanne (Morgan) Clemens.

He was a member of St. Mary's Parish. He loved life and everyone was his "friend." Terry collected flashlights and was very interested in tractors. He was considered the "darling of the Sunrise Unit."

Surviving are his parents, Eldon T. and Jeanne (Morgan) Clemens; three sisters, Trudy Michelle Clemens, of Dubuque, Toni A. (Bob) Erhart, of Keokuk, Iowa, Tina E. (Gus) Gerken, of Fairfax, Iowa; three brothers, Ted A. (Sue) Clemens, of Gray's Lake, Ill., Tim E. (Kathy) Clemens, of Marion, Iowa, and Todd E. (Cathleen) Clemens, of Skiatook, Okla.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and an older brother, Tom O. Clemens, on Jan. 3, 1969.
