Peg (Verla) Law, 95, of Dubuque, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 4, 2019.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2019 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, where services to celebrate her life will begin at 12:30 p.m. Private family committal services will be in Linwood Cemetery.

Peg was born March 6, 1924 into a family of 9, in Creston Nebraska. She married John W. Law on May 20, 1944 and moved to Dubuque shortly after John returned from WWII. She helped build the John W. Law Company while raising 4 children. Peg was actively involved in various volunteer community organizations, church activities, and school functions. She remained an active member of Chapter IK, PEO for over 60 years.

Peg is survived by 3 children, John C. (Hope Warschaw) Law of Santa Monica CA, Jim Law of Dubuque, Joanne Law of Denver CO and son-in-law Edgar Laube of Madison, WI; 7 grandchildren, Jack Law Warschaw, Baer (Katy) DeMaio, Jenna (Chris) Yarborough, Jon Law, Emma Laube, Anne Laube and Julia Laube, and 5 great grand- children.

Peg was preceded in death by 6 siblings, husband John W. Law, and daughter Kathleen Law Laube.
Peg was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grand-mother. She took great pride and joy in her family's interests and accomplishments.

The family would like to extend a very special thank-you to Pennie Davis for all the kind, loving and compassionate care she provided, not only for Peg but her entire family.
