Elaine Ann Barwick, 91, of Dubuque passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m., Wednesday, January 30 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. A visitation will be held from 3 - 7 p.m., Tuesday at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Road and from 10- 11:45 a.m., Wednesday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Elaine was born on March 2, 1927 in Dubuque, the daughter of John and Clara (Ginter) Kramer. She married Harry Russow (deceased) and later William "Bill" Barwick (deceased).
Elaine was founder and executive director of Hills and Dales until her retirement.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet Imhof, Ocala, FL; Jeanne (John) Klauer, Dubuque, IA; JoAnn (Dave) Hendrickson, Dubuque, IA; and Julie (Bill) Woodhouse, Des Moines, IA. Grandchildren, Eric (Tammy) Imhof, Dubuque, IA; Jason (Sara) Imhof, Cary, NC; Ann (Nate) Courtney, Dubuque, IA; David Klauer, Bellevue, IA; Emily Klauer, Dubuque, IA; Craig (Kia) Hendrickson, Cuba City, WI; Lee Ann Hendrickson, Dubuque, IA; Ian (Stephanie) Woodhouse, Colo, IA; Allison (Jason) Paterno, Avondale, AZ; Hilary Woodhouse, Des Moines, IA; and Quinn (Tina) Woodhouse, Des Moines, IA; 25 great- grandchildren and nieces and nephew, Mary Jo (Don) Vogt, Tom (Sue) Kramer and Kathy (Bob) Brosius all in Dubuque.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Jamie Barwick; grandson Nick Klauer; son-in-law, Mike Imhof; parents; and her brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Leah Kramer.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to the Jamie Barwick Hills & Dales Foundation.
