Farley, Ia. Mar. 31 – Special: Joseph Glew, aged and respected resident, of this city, expired at the home of his son Elmer Glew, Friday afternoon. He was 63 years of age.

He was born in Cottage Hill, Ia., August 3, 1848. He grew to manhood in Cottage Hill, following the pursuit of farming. On November 2, 1873 he was united in marriage to Miss Arthusia Wilson, who preceded him to the grave December 16, 1901.

The deceased is survived by five children, Mrs. Frank Benton, Farley; Hiram, Walter and Elmer of this place, and Dr. H. M. Glew of Preston, Ia. One brother, William Glew, and a sister, Mrs. John Schaumburg, both of Farley, also survive.

The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon from the residence of his son to the Methodist-Episcopal Church where Rev. W. J. Pyle, the pastor will officiate.
