DEATH OF JOHN WALL, SR.

Prominent Citizen of FarleyThe funeral of John Wall, Sr. 79, who died in his home in Farley Friday afternoon following a lingering illness, was held from the family residence to the Community Methodist Church, Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock with the Rev. M. C. Melcher, pastor, officiating.
The pallbearers were six nephews, Albert Wall, Theodore, Wall, Harold Wall, Leland Wall, Elmer Hawe and Edward Greenwood.
Mr. Waal was born October 31st, 1865, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wall, and came to this country at the age of three years and settled in Dubuque County. On September 16, 1906 he was united in marriage with Miss Mary Stokes. N he had been engaged in farming until four years ago when he retired.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters Mrs. James L. (Mabel) O’Meara, Farley and Mrs. Leslie (Delores) Streif, Epworth; four sons, Edward and John Wall Jr., Farley, Arnold Wall Coggon, Iowa, and Harold Wall, Manchester; three sisters, Mrs. Sam Smith, Dubuque and Mrs. Mary Dyer and Mrs. Robert Hawe, Manchester; and two brothers, William Wall, Farley and Eugene Wall, Earlville; also 16 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, three brothers, and two sisters.
