ALOIS J. KLEIN

Alois J. Klein, 104, formerly of Balltown, Iowa died at 2:30 p.m. at Luther Manor, where he has resided for the past four years

His wife, the former Philomena Link, died Aug, 2, 1957.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Catholic Church at Balltown, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Behr’s, where the scripture wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Klein, a retired farmer, was born in Balltown.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Leona Leick of Holy Cross, Ia., Mrs. Edwina Steger of Balltown, Mrs. Cornelius (Selina) Brimeyer, Mrs. August (Marcella) Schmitt, Mrs. Bernard (Sylvia) Schmitt, and Mrs. A. (Marie) Blaser, all of Dubuque; three sons, Lawrence A. and Clarence G. Klein, both of Rickardsville, and Arnold L. Klein of Balltown ; 50 grandchildren, and 130 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Gassmann of Clinton, Ia.
