DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Roger C. Huberty, 67, of Omaha, Neb., formerly of Dyersville, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, at Beverly Hallmark Nursing Home, Omaha, following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Douglas Loecke officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 5:30 p.m.

He was born on Feb. 15, 1939, in Dyersville, son of Cyril and Armella (Luensmann) Huberty. He was married for 25 years and later divorced.

He is retired from the Army Corp. of Engineers and enjoyed working with wood, making toys.

Surviving are three sons, Patrick (Julia), Rodger (Jen) and Ricky (Becky), all of Omaha; six grandchildren, Justin Huberty, Micaela, Marshal and Mike McGovern, Samantha and Megan Huberty; a sister, Sharon (Ron) Singsank, of Dyersville; and a niece, Tammy (Brian) Meyer, of Dyersville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Armella.
