DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Todd J. Koelker, 35, of Dyersville, died Monday, July 11, 2005, as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Jerry Kopacek, Monsignor Richard Funke and the Rev. John O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4 p.m.

He was born on Jan. 10, 1970, in Dyersville, son of Allan and Marian (Bockenstedt) Koelker. He married Kathy Funke on June 5, 1993, in Dyersville.

Todd loved spending time with his wife, children, family, friends and neighbors. Other activities he enjoyed were fishing, golf and farming.

Todd did custom bagging and developed a poly cover for hog slats that is patent pending and nearly ready for market.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy; two daughters, Terra and Brooke, and a son, Trent, all at home; his parents, Allan and Marian Koelker, of Petersburg; his parents-in-law, Leon and Karen Funke, of Dyersville; four brothers, Chuck (Marilee) Koelker, of New Vienna, and Terry (Joyce) Koelker, Mike (JoAnn) Koelker and Ron (Sandy) Koelker, all of Dyersville; many brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred Funke, Joyce (Lenny) Heims, Richard (Marcia) Funke, Russ (Lori) Funke, Karol (Jerry) Goedken, Carmen (Rod) Naber and Chuck (Michelle) Funke, all of Dyersville, Jackie (Terry) Bell, of Hopkinton, and Colleen (John) Bonert, of Petersburg; his grandmother-in-law, Agnes Rahe, of Dyersville; a special aunt, Mildred Koelker, of Dubuque; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa; and his grandparents, Anton and Kate Koelker and Leonard and Catherine Bockenstedt.
