DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Regina M. Goedken, 96, of Dyersville, died Sunday, July 24, 2005, at Oak Crest Manor, Dyersville, following a short illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with Monsignor Stanley Hayek officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary, Chris, Dan, Duane and Ashley Goedken and Karla Davis. Friends may call after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville.

She was born on May 29, 1909, in Petersburg, daughter of John and Anna (Scherbring) Goedken.

Regina was a homemaker who enjoyed working as a domestic assistant for several families in town. She also cared for her parents in their later years, as well as some of her siblings.

Surviving are a brother, Joseph Goedken, of Dyersville; a sister-in-law, Mary Goedken, of Monticello; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Vincent, Raymond, Victor and Herbert Goedken; and two sisters, Ida and Martha Goedken.
