DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Paul Steger, 63, of Dyersville, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at home.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, with the Rev. Jerry Kopacek officiating. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

He was born on Dec. 12, 1941, in Dyers-ville, son of Syl-vester and Rose (Quint) Steger.

He served in the Navy on the USS Rowan in San Diego.

Paul was an avid outdoorsman and particularly enjoyed trout fishing.

Surviving are two daughters, Nikki (Cory) of Guttenberg, and Erika Steger, of Denver; a son, Jason (Jenny) Steger, of West Des Moines; three grandchildren, Brian Steger, Garrick Gautney and Payton Nuehring; two brothers, Donald (Darlene) Steger and Vernon (Cecelia) Steger, both of Dyersville; two sisters, Norma (Francis) Apel, of Dubuque, and Rosemary (Eugene) Schmidt, of Waterloo; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Kevin; and several aunts and uncles.

Memorials are preferred.
