DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Edna G. Youngblut, 88, of Dyersville, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Ceme- tery, Fairbank. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednes-day at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4:30 p.m.

She was born on March 22, 1916, in Oran, daughter of Henry and Jenny (Stohr) Brickman.

She married Burton H. Youngblut on Feb. 21, 1938, at St. John's Catholic Church, Waterloo; he died on Oct. 11, 2001. They farmed until 1966, and then owned and operated the Coast To Coast Store in Dyersville from 1967 to 1976.

Edna was an avid outdoors person and loved to fish and work in her flower garden.

Surviving are two sons, Lyle (Judi) Youngblut, of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Glen Youngblut, of Bellevue; two daughters, Cheryl (James) Reed, of Independence, and Diane (Garry) Meier, of Oran; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard (Naomi) Brickman, of Oran.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dale; and a sister, Pauline, in infancy.
