EAST DUBUQUE, Ill. - Ronnie D. Bryson, 66, of 98 Buckskin, East Dubuque, died at 3:52 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque, where military rites will be accorded by the Dubuque Marine Corps League.

He was born on Aug. 31, 1941, in Slater, Mo., son of Samuel and Catherine (Fizer) Bryson. He was a graduate of Dubuque Senior High School.

Ronnie served six years in the Navy and spent a year on Midway Island.

He was formerly employed as a Mississippi River barge pilot for Molo Oil Company for

20 years. He lastly was employed at Unique Balance for more than 10 years.

Ronnie's greatest joy these days came from playing with his dogs, Short and Sassy.

Surviving are two sons, Shawn L. Bryson, of Madison, Wis., and Shane M. Bryson, of East Dubuque; a grandson, Austin Bryson, of Madison; his parents, Samuel L. and Catherine L. Bryson, of Dubuque; two brothers, Ben L. (Jean) Bryson, of East Dubuque, and M. Eugene (Patty) Bryson, of Dubuque; and nieces and nephews

A Ronnie D. Bryson Memorial Fund has been established.
