Teresa Ann Janzig, 67, of 2119 Rhomberg Ave., Apt. 2, died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at St. Raphael's Cathedral. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque. Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be at parish scripture service at 3:30 p.m.

She was born on April 29, 1941, in Dubuque, daughter of Josef and Meretta (Munger) Genz. She married Robert Janzig on Oct. 21, 1958, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Dubuque; he preceded her in death on May 1, 2007.

Teresa worked in housekeeping at various hotels in Dubuque for 27 years until her retirement. She later worked at the Dubuque Greyhound Park & Casino for four years.

She was a member of St. Raphael's Cathedral and a former member of the Amvet Auxiliary.

Teresa enjoyed baking and sewing and, most of all, time with her family.

Surviving are her four children, David (Carol Bly) Janzig and Debbie Janzig, both of Dubuque, Nancy (Ron) Schilling, of Bernard, Iowa, and Amy (Randy) Rohr, of Iowa Falls, Iowa; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marjorie "Sally" Sauegling, of Davenport, Iowa, Darlene Genz, of Dubuque, and Ellyn (Joseph) Bechen, of Dubuque.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Josef, Robert and Peter Genz; and a sister, Mitzi Fuller.

In lieu of flowers, a Teresa Ann Janzig Memorial Fund has been established.
