Mrs. Norbert J. (Diane M.) Steger, 59, of 2515 Windsor Ave., formerly of 2843 Argyle St., died at 11 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2003, at home

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a parish wake service at 4 p.m.

Mrs. Steger worked for more than 15 years at Hills and Dales. She retired in April 2002 as a purchasing agent.

She was born on July 13, 1943, in Dubuque, daughter of Clarence L. and Rose (Gerstkamp) Faust. She married Norbert J. Steger on Sept. 26, 1964, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She was a 1961 graduate of Wahlert High School. Diane was a member of Sacred Heart Parish.

Diane, Norb and her brother and his wife, Clarence and Sharon Faust, were avid crafters and owners of Relatively Crafty Crafts.

She enjoyed sewing and doing crossword puzzles. Diane especially enjoyed time spent with her granddaughter, Arielle, and with Janey's dogs.

Surviving are her husband, Norbert J. Steger; a daughter, Janey R. Wickler, of Dubuque; a son, Joseph C. (Joyce) Steger, of Denver; two granddaughters, Arielle Wickler, of Dubuque, and Danielle Steger, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a brother, Clarence (Sharon) Faust, of Dubuque; and her "honorary granddaughter," Latoya Sargent, of Dubuque.

A Diane M. Steger Memorial Fund has been established.
