Sheila C. Puccio, 65, of 593 Arlington St., Apt. 2, died at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque, with her family by her side.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, with Pastor Harry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Puccio worked as a certified nursing assistant for many years at Bethany Home, Luther Manor and lastly at ManorCare Health Services.

She was born on Dec. 23, 1939, in Dubuque, daughter of Edmund and Eunice (Walters) Ryan. She married Ronald Puccio on June 28, 1958, at Nativity Catholic Church.

For many years, Sheila served as a Brownie leader, and was a avid CB'er who used the "Brownie Leader Handle."

She was an avid QVC shopper and bowler. She had a great sense of humor and loved her family and her pets.

Surviving are her beloved husband, Ronnie, of Dubuque; her children, Rhonda (Mark) Wernimont, Kim Wieseler, Angela (Randy Wieseler) Puccio, Rebecca (James) Ostert, Steve (Lesa Wellman) Puccio and Wendy (Don Hennessy) Puccio, all of Dubuque; grandchildren, Troy (Jill McConnell) Wernimont, Kalyn (Brandon Budde) Wernimont, Joshua Puccio, Alayna Olin, Paul Alan (Danielle Gerdeman) Jr., Ronald, Andrew and Arron Cole, Selena Courtney-Puccio and Ken and Louie Ostert, all of Dubuque; siblings, Margaret (Leo) Fah, Susan Clough, Roger Ryan and Judy (Don) Saefkow, all of Dubuque, Robert (Pat) Ryan, of Wausau, Wis., and Maurna (James) Gerhards, of Potosi, Wis.; her "sister-friend," Beverly Tippe, of Dubuque; and the many friends of her children who called her mom.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son-in-law, Kenneth Wieseler.

A Sheila C. Puccio Memorial Fund has been established.

Thank you to all the family and friends for their support, and to Mercy Medical Center Intensive Care Unit and Pastoral Care, and the many doctors and nurses for all their care and kindness.
