Jerry A. Scott, 72, of 2312 Pasadena Drive, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at home.

Private family services will be at a later date. The Egelhof Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on Dec. 14, 1935, son of Forest E. and Carrie J. (Durbin) Meyer Scott. He married Patricia Mills in 1959, at St. Luke's United Methodist Church.

Jerry served in the Marines during the Korean War.

He was employed in management at Crescent Electric Supply Co., retiring as president.

Jerry was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Missouri and Summit Congregational Church United Church of Christ in Dubuque.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Scott, of Dubuque; two children, Jody (Leonard) Koopmann and Steven A. Scott, both of Dubuque; two grandchildren, Tristan Dawson and Garrett Koopmann; and a sister, Beverly (Robert) Johnson, of Ocala, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be given to Summit Congregational Church UCC, 2885 Kennedy Road and Hospice of Dubuque, 2255 Kennedy Road, Dubuque, IA 52002.
