Michael R. Willis, 49, of 205 Valley St., passed away Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at home of natural causes.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, South of Dubuque.

He was born on Aug. 19, 1960, in Dubuque, son of Joseph and Virginia (Klecker) Willis.

Mike worked as a tree trimmer. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding his motorcycle. Mike lived his life the way he wanted to live it.

Surviving are his devoted, loving companion of 27 years, Marla Feddersen, of Dubuque; five children, Ricky Feddersen, Melissa (Jason) Brimeyer, Lindsey (Jeremy) Runde, Joey Feddersen and Crystal Feddersen, all of Dubuque; four grandchildren, Hayden, Aleeyah, Addelyn and Karlie; five siblings, Larry Willis, of Dubuque, Angela (Donald) Genthe, of Cedar Rapids, Gina (Dale) Gross, of Peosta, Dewayne (Paula) Willis, and Ronald (Jennifer) Willis, both of Cedar Rapids; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Michael R. Willis Memorial Fund has been established.
