Bart D. Cain

Bart D. Cain, 67, 1103 1/2 Iowa St., operator of the C. and F. Used Furniture Store, 115 W. 11th St., died at midnight Saturday at Finley Hospital after a three-day illness.

Friends may call at the Hoffmann Mortuary from where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday to St. Patrick's Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cain was born Oct. 16, 1889, in Dubuque, son of Bart J. and Anna Coyle Cain. He lived in Dubuque all his life.

He was formerly employed by the Bott Shoe Store, and later the DeMaio Shoe Store, until he entered the used furniture business.

He was a member of St. Patrick's parish, its Holy Name Society, St. Columbkille's Court, Catholic Order Foresters, and the American Legion. He was a World War I veteran.

Surviving are a brother Frank M. Cain, Dubuque, and two nieces.
