Albert J. Kruse, 59, of 982 Iowa street, died at 5 p.m. Friday at his home. He had been ill for 10 years.

Friends may call at the Didesch funeral home, from where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. John Mohr, pastor of St. Matthew's Lutheran church will officiate. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.

Kruse was born in Dubuque on Dec. 12, 1889, and had lived here all his life. He was employed as a car carpenter by the Milwaukee railraod for 30 years and had retired 10 years ago. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church.

His parents were the late John and Mary Tesch Kruse. In 1908 he was married to Loretta Lee.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Vincent (Adele) Richard, of Dubuque, Mrs. Irvin (Dorothea) Sternbergh, of Imlay City, Mich., and Mrs. Lillian Durkin, of St. Louis,Mo.; three granddaughters, and two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Minnie) Schaetzle and Mrs. Louis (Pauline) Duccini, both of Dubuque. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and a sister.
