Michael M. Cain, 83, formerly of 251 Main St., died Tuesday night at a local convalescent home after a short illness.

Friends may call at the Siegert Funeral Home. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Raphael's Cathedral. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The parish Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

He was born Feb 2, 1874, in Dubuque. He retired after working 40 years for the Illinois Central Railroad.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wilbur Nankival, Waterloo, and Mrs. L. E. Blickman (sic) (Blichmann), Dubuque; one son, Matthew Cain, Waterloo; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
