Keighan John Shanahan, 21, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on May 24th, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center, the result of a motorcycle accident.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 1st, 2017, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, where services will be at 7:30 p.m.

Keighan was born on June 20, 1995, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Kevin Shanahan and Angela Fuller. He was a spelling bee champ and worked in construction for Always on Time Construction. He also helped his dad do stone work since he was 10 years old.

He enjoyed cars, but especially enjoyed time with his son Brycen.

He is survived by his son, Brycen Shanahan; his girlfriend and Brycen's mother, Layla Vondal; his father, Kevin (Jessica) Shanahan; his mother, Angela Fuller; grandmothers, Mary Kay Shanahan and Suzie Revelle; his uncle, Fuzzy Fuller; two aunts, Kathy Shanahan and Krista (Mike) Torrey; his special cousins, Mercedes Fuller and Nicholas Torrey.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Loras Shanahan, Sonny Revelle and Tim Fuller.
