Mrs. Margaret Meurisse

Mrs. Margaret Farrell Meurisse, a resident of this city for fifty years, died at the home, 1838 Sycamore street, this morning at 11:40 o'clock. Although ill for a year, her condition did not become serious until two weeks ago.

She was born in La Crescent, Minn., in March, seventy-two years ago and October 1, 1878 she was wedded to Joseph F. Meurisse, at Brownsville, Minn., who with two daughters, Mayme and Catherine, two sons, Joseph J. and Leo P., two grandchildren, all of this city, one brother, John of La Crescent, and four
sisters, Mrs. Thomas Finn, La Crescent, Mrs. William Finn, and Mrs. Genevieve Dunn, La Crosse, and Sister Mary Kieran, of the Notre Dame Sisters, at Chicago, survive her. A son preceded her in death.

Being a devout Catholic, a member of the Sacred Heart church, the Sacred Heart league, and the Rosary society she was comforted in her last hour by the rites of the Catholic religion.

The funeral will be held Friday morning from the home to Sacred Heart church at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
