DEATH CLAIMS MRS. KUNNERT
Funeral Services Planned at 9 a.m. Thursday
Mrs. Bertha Brede Kunnert of 1085 West Fifth Street, wife of the late Fred J. Kunnert, died at Mercy Hospital at 2 a.m. Tuesday after an illness of long duration. She was vice-president of the Jaeger-Kunnert wholesale grocery company.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Strueber Home, from where the last rites will be held at the Church of the Nativity at 9 a.m. Thursday.
Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Dubuqe, she was born on Feb. 9, 1881, daughter of the late Frank and Christina Brede, pioneer residents. She was a member of the Nativity Church and of the Parish Rosary Society.
She is survived by three sons, Walter A., Robert L., and Arnold K. Kunnert, all of Dubuque; one brother Louis H. Brede, Dubuque; four sisters, Mrs. Flora Meyer, Mrs. Anna Klauer, Mrs. George (Emma) Klauer, and Miss Christina Brede, all of Dubuque, and three grandchildren; Richard Walter Jr., and Frederick Kunnert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband in 1941, by one son, Irvin in 1922, a sister in infancy and two brothers, John and Frank Brede.
