Elkader Register, Fri., 26 Oct. 1883.

Nic Phalen, Jr., of Dubuque, was killed at Turkey River Junction, last Friday afternoon, while coupling cars. He was employed at the Junction as car-repairer, but on account of the rush was assisting in coupling cars. His remains were taken to Dubuque for burial.
