RESTS IN LINWOOD

FUNERAL IS HELD SATURDAY
MORNING FROM ST. JOHN’S
EPISCOPAL CHURCH
~
The funeral of Maj. Horace Poole was held Saturday at 11 o’clock from the family residence, 1554 Locust Street, to St. John’s Episcopal Church. Rev. John Dysart officiated and Hyde Clark Post, G.A.R., conducted their ritual at the church. The vested choir rendered “All Hail the Power of Jesus Name” and for “All Thy Saints Whom from Their Labors Rest.” The honorary pallbearers were, Messrs. J. K. Deming, C. H. Berg, William Glades, Glenn Brown, Capt. Arno, M. L. Healey, W. S. Marshall; active Messrs. J. C. Collier, C. W. Richards, Dr. S. M. Langworthy, Dr. C. L. Ellsworth. The ushers at the church were Messrs. C. S. Robinson and E. S. Luesh. Those from out of the city present at the obsequies were Arthur F. Poole, a brother, Peabody, Mass.; Frank W. Benson, a nephew, Boston; Dr. S. M. Langworthy, a brother-in-law, and M. L. Healey and W. S. Marshall, all of Cedar Rapids.

The interment was made in Linwood Cemetery, beneath of wealth of floral offerings.
