KEY WEST, Iowa - Services for Quinten A. Foust, 74, 10391 St. Joseph Drive, Key West, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Key West.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, where there will be a flag presentation by the American Legion Dubuque Post 6. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Ed Siegert-Al Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where there will be a parish wake service at 4 p.m. and a La Motte Knights of Columbus Council 4231 rosary at 8 p.m.

Mr. Foust farmed for 26 years in the Zwingle/Bernard area. He worked at Dubuque Stone Products Co., retiring in 1987, and also drove cars for Avis, National and Enterprise Car Rentals.

He was born on Feb. 5, 1922, in Zwingle, son of Rudolph and Henrietta (Pancratz) Foust. He died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1996, at home.

He married Jean Ann Crimmins on Feb. 8, 1947, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Key West.

He graduated from Dubuque County School. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Army Engineers. He enjoyed playing cards and riding horses. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Key West, and its holy name society, where he also was an usher. He was a member of the La Motte (Iowa) Knights of Columbus Council 4231 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a retired member of the Key West Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Retired Teamsters Local 421.

Surviving are his wife, Jean; four daughters, Bette (Jerry) Alberhasky, of Iowa City, Barb (Steve) Sauser, of Cascade, Cindy (Pat) Veach, of Zwingle, and Mary Sue (Michael) Dumas, of Scotsdale, Ariz.; two sons, Mike Foust, of Key West, and Chuck Foust, of Graceland; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Janet Kemp, of Key West, and Mrs. Joan Arensdorf, of Zwingle; and three brothers, John (Gen) Foust, of Manchester, Eugene (Gerry) and R. Carlos (Mary) Foust, both of Zwingle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Henrietta Foust; a sister, Emily Herron; a brother, Martin Foust; and three grandchildren, Keith Foust in 1989, Jacqueline Foust in 1984, and Julie Foust in 1984.

A Quinten A. Foust Memorial Fund has been established.
