Margo J. Atchison, 61, 2001 Rhomberg Ave., died at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 1998, at The Finley Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Eglehof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where there will be a wake service at 5 p.m.

She was born on Aug. 12, 1936, in Chicago, and was later adopted by James and Martha Fitzgerald. She graduated from Muldoon High School in Rockford, Ill., in 1954.

She married David Atchison on June 1, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, having the marriage blessed two weeks later at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dubuque.

She chose to stay home to raise her four children, of whom she was very proud. After her children were grown, she enjoyed working aboard the former Casino Belle and Silver Eagle, where she met many wonderful friends. She was past president of the Dubuqueland Women's Bowling Association and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband, David F. Atchison, of Dubuque; three sons, David J. Atchison and Daniel J. Atchison, both of Dubuque, and Brian F. Atchison, of Sioux City, Iowa; a daughter, Lindy Atchison, of Moline, Ill; and three grandsons, Eric, Andrew and Michael.

A Margo J. Atchison Memorial Fund has been established.
