Paul G. Nicks, 85, of 421 Kings Bridge, Atlanta, Ga. 30329, formerly of Dubuque,IA died Thursday November 4, 2004 in Decatur,GA.

A Mass of the Resurrection was offered November 6, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Atlanta, Ga. The cremains will be entombed at Peachtree Memorial Park in Norcross, Ga.

Mr. Nicks retired from Western Electric in 1982 after 42 years. He was member of the Telephone Pioneers.

He was born in Dubuque,IA July 6, 1919, the son of Paul and Regina (Butlett) Nicks. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High in 1937, attended Loras College and was a WWII veteran in the Signal Corps.

He married Annabel Blichmann Connolly July 6, 1946 in Dubuque; she survives. They lived in Clarendon Hills and Naperville, Ill before tranferring to Atlanta, Ga.

Surviving beside his wife Annabel are two daughters Judith Anne Nicks of Clemson, SC, Kathleen Anne (Steve) Cook of Tucker, Ga; two sons James Paul (Gail) and John Joseph (Tricia) Nicks, both of Lilburn, Ga, a sister Mrs. Dorothy Lagen of Talladega, AL, and 7 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Charles Nicks.
