Services for Miss Helen D. Rowan, 89, of Stonehill Care Center, formerly of 311 Hill St. will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Church.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Egelhof-Casper Strueber Funeral Home, 1145 Locust St. where the rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Miss Rowan taught in South Dakota and later taught English at Dubuque Senior High School for more than 40 years. After her retirement she taught at Loras College.

She was born Jan. 1, 1900, in Dubuque, daughter of J.J. and Mary (Keenan) Rowan. She died at 3:25 a.m. Sunday, March 26, 1989 at Stonehill.

She graduated from Clarke College in 1922.
