THE DEATH OF ZEBULON KINZEY - We have already announced the sudden death of Zebulon Kinzey, Esq., at St. Louis on Sunday night last. Mr. Kinsey resided in Dubuque for many years, and was well known for his extensive business pursuits. The St. Louis Democrat of Tuesday gives the following account of his death:
On Sunday night, about 11 o’clock, Zebulon Kinsey, in going to his room in the boarding house of Mrs. Dickinson, No. 170 Main Street, fell from the top of the stairs to the bottom, fracturing the whole front and top of his skull, and causing almost instant death. A post mortem examination was made by Dr. Hodgen and Coroner O’Reily, by which it was ascertained that death had been caused by an extensive compound fracture of the skull. Deceased was 51 years of age, born and raised in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and had resided in Dubuque, Iowa. He had been boarding with Mrs. Dickinson since last August, and had known her from boyhood. Sometime ago his wife went crazy, and was sent to Ohio. He had been Captain of a steamboat and was recently in the real estate business. He has a grown daughter in Dubuque, and two sons in the Army.
