Annie Dolphin Keefe

The funeral services for Mrs. Annie Dolphin Keefe were held from the residence of her brother, Michael Dolphin to St. Martin's church last Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Rev. Rooney, pastor, celebrated requiem high Mass and officiatedat the graveside when the remains were laid to rest in the family lot in St. Martin's cemetery.

The last rites were attended by many relatives and friends of the family, including a large number from out of town.

Annie Dolphin was a daughter of the late James and Mary Dolphin and was born on the old homestead in Whitewater township March 8, 1876, and resided at home until her marriage to Frank J. Keefe Sept. 8, 1903, in St. Martin's church in Cascade.

Before her illness some fifteen or sixteen years ago, Mrs. Keefe was well known and admired by a host of friends and acquaintances, who share, the sorrow of the bereaved husband and children and relatives in the affliction she suffered and the sympathy is extended is genuinely from the hearts of old neighbors and friends.

Mrs. Keefe died at the state hospital in Independence at 8 o'clock a. m. April 11th and her illness and death was due to kidney trouble.

She leaves to mourn her death her husband, F. J. Keefe and the following children, Lloyd, Vivian, Agnes, Dorothy and John, of Freeburg, Minn.

Mr. Keefe and his daughters, Vivian and Agnes, attended the funeral. The surviving brothers and sister of the deceased are Michael, James, William, Mrs. D. A. English and George, all of Cascade. Her parents, a brother John, and sister, Mrs. Kate McGovern, preceded her in death.

The pallbearers were Leo, George, James and Roland Dolphin, Edward Grace, Vincent English and George McGovern, nephews of the deceased.

Those from out of town, besides the husband, F. J. Keefe, of Freeburg, Minn., and daughters, Misses Vivian Keefe of La Crosse, Wis., and Agnes Keefe, of St. Paul, Minn., there were Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Grace, Miss Rita Crotty and John Burke, of Dubuque; Miss Monica Dolphin, of Oelwein, Mrs. Michael Crotty and Supervisor Ben Donovan, of Bernard.
