Duane A. Christofferson, 73, of 1015 Wood St., died at 6:55 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at The Finley Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa.

Mr. Christofferson worked at H&W Motor Express Co. from 1950 until his retirement in 1986.

He was born on Oct. 12, 1927, in Castalia, Iowa, son of Otis and Violet (Harvey) Christofferson. He married Cecelia Bradley on Jan. 25, 1950, at Nativity Catholic Church; she died in 1997.

He was a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are two daughters, Ann (Brian) Hartnell, of Wausaukee, Wis., and Susan O'Connor, of Renton, Wash.; two sons, David (Linda), of Marysville, Wash., and Gary (Julie), of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two brothers, Roger and Don (Terry) Christofferson; four sisters, Colleen (Ted) Sprouse, Wanda Whistler, Kay (Jim) McElderry and Donna (Rich) Hankens; five grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He also was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Gerald.

A Duane A. Christofferson Memorial Fund has been established.
