Mrs. Thomas (Glendoris M. "Dory") Meyer, 62, 17675 River Vista Court, died Thursday morning, May 28, 1998, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., where there will be a wake service at 4:30 p.m.

Mrs. Meyer worked at the former Dubuque Packing Co. from 1954-64 and at Dubuque Health Care from 1980-92.

She was born on Aug. 3, 1935, in Dubuque, daughter of Albert and Marie (Basten) Dolan. She married Thomas J. Meyer on May 9, 1964, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Dubuque.

She graduated from the former St. Joseph's Academy, Dubuque and attended Clarke College. She was a member of Holy Ghost Parish. She was a talented artist and specialized in painting china. She put her family above everything. She was a very devoted wife and mother and adored and took great delight in her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas J. Meyer; daughters, Maria (Dr. Michael) Fleege and Jennifer Meyer, both of Dubuque; four grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas and Lauren Fleege and Alexandria Meyer, all of Dubuque; sisters, Mrs. Beverly (Joseph) Kluesner, and Mrs. Genevieve (James) Givens, both of Dubuque; and brothers, Roger Dolan, Albert (Nancy) Dolan, John (Sheila) Dolan and Robert Dolan, all of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dennis Dolan; and two grandchildren, Faith and Hope Fleege.
