Jane Ellen Cody, 56, of Godfrey, Ill., formerly of Dubuque, died Friday, April 29, 2011, at Alton Memorial Hospital, Alton, Ill.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, at St. Columbkille's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gabriel Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. The Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1640 Main St., is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Nov. 15, 1954, in Dubuque, daughter of Thomas James Cody and Elinor Ann (Murphy) Cody-Ginder.

Jane worked at Beverly Farms in Godfrey.

She loved to shop and go out to local restaurants. She enjoyed family visits and spending time with her friends.

Surviving are a brother, James Philip Cody, of Godfrey; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
