Mary Isabel (Foley) Tully 1930-2014

Mary Isabel (Foley) Tully, 83, of Dubuque, completed her earthly journey on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at her winter home in Peoria, Ariz.

A funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Church of the Nativity, where there will be a rosary recited at 12:30 p.m. The Rev. Scott Bullock will officiate. Friends and relatives may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Road, where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Mary was born on Oct. 29, 1930, in Dubuque, daughter of William and Mary (Berg) Foley. She attended Saint Columbkille's School and Church, where lifelong friendships were made.

Mary married Eugene "Gene" Tully on June 14, 1952. She worked alongside of Gene as the executive assistant for his business.

Mary was a longtime member of The Church of the Nativity, and a member of the Rosary Society.

Surviving is her devoted husband of 61 years, Gene; and their children, Patrick Tully (Sonia Choquette), Gene (Jane) Tully, Mary Beth Tully, Katherine Tully, Kenneth (Peggy) Tully, Roger Tully, Greg (Marisol) Tully and Ellen (Dan) Trilk; and a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Tully. Mary and Gene's beloved grandchildren include Sonia and Sabrina Tully, Briana (Jim) Cushman, Mikaela (Justin) Foust, Laura Tully, Benjamin Schramm (fiancé, Darianne Dobbie), David Schramm, Michael Walsh (fiancé, Katie Rhomberg), Lucas and Elizabeth Tully, Jena Gruber, Joshua Tully, Quinn and Charles Trilk, Jacob (Katie) Tully, and Lauren Tully. Also surviving are her two sister-in-laws, Rose and Rita Foley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Gerard and Dennis Tully; brothers, William, Joseph and Patrick Foley; and a sister-in-law, Patsy Foley.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mary Isabel Tully Memorial Fund to benefit Hospice of the Valley in Peoria and Hospice of Dubuque.
