Sister Mary Xavier Corrigan, PBVM, 88, 2360 Carter Road, died at 4:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 1998, at Mount Loretto Convent.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mount Loretto Chapel, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the convent, where there will be a wake service at 7 p.m. The Ed Siegert-Al Didesch Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sister Mary Xavier taught business education in St. Columbkille, Waukon, Danbury, Farley, Mason City, Fairbank, Storm Lake and Algona. Sister also served as coordinator of Villa Raphael before retiring. She retired to Mount Loretto in 1984.

She was born on May 9, 1909, in Dougherty, Iowa, daughter of James and Josephine (A'Hearn) Corrigan.

She entered the Presentation community on Sept. 8, 1932, and made her final profession of religious vows on Aug. 5, 1938.

Surviving are a nephew, Patrick Keniry, of Bethesda, Md.; and her nieces, Mary Kaye Jennrich, of Shoreview, Minn., Joanne Keniry, of Ramsey, Minn., and Sister Jean Keniry, OSF, of Rochester, Minn.
