Mrs. Jerry Crowley Passes Away After Long Illness

Mrs. Jerry Crowley, of this city, is dead, passing away at the family home on March 6th at o'clock. Mrs. Crowley was ill for three months.

Mrs. Crowley was born August 24, 1840, in Friendsville, Pa., and was married on the thirteenth of June 1865. Nine children were born of the union, two dying in infancy. The surviving children are Mrs. Jno. Kane, Edward, Joseph, Patrick, Nellie and Mary, all of Dubuque, Cornelius of Cedar Rapids, and one brother, Patrick Ryan of Table Mound.

The death of Mrs. Crowley is the cause of deep regret in the community where she was so well and so favorably known. He lfie was one of goodness and her passing has caused sorrow in Dubuque and Garryowen, where she long resided and where she was universally beloved.

The funeral will be held on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock to St. Columbkille's church from the late residence, 325 Cleveland avenue.
