Edward Crowley, 85, St. Anthony's Home, died Thursday afternoon at Mercy Hospital after an illness of several months.

Friends may call at the Ashworth and Bennett Funeral Home, from where services will be held at 9 am Saturday to St. Columbkille Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Mr. Crowley was born Aug. 29, 1868, in Dubuque County, the son of the late Jerry and Mary (Ryan) Crowely. A painter, he lived in Dubuque for the last 50 years. He was a former member of the Cathedral parish.

He is survived by his widow; two brothers, Patrick Crowley, Dubuque, and Cornelius Crowley, Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. William (Nellie) McCabe, Dubuque, and Sister M. Inviolata of the Presentation Sisters in Dubuque.

He was preceded by his parents and two brothers.
