Jeremiah Crowley Called By Death

Long Time Resident Of Dubuque Dies Tuesday Evening

Jeremiah Crowley, well known Dubuquer and a resident of this city for the last seventy-nine years, was summoned by death at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Kane, 770 Rush street, yesterday evening at 8 o'clock. He had been ailing for a long time.

Mr. Crowley was born in Kentucky eighty-five years ago and came to this city, which had since been his home, when six years old. He was a Catholic and in his last hours was comforted by the rites of that religion. His widow preceded him in death fifteen years ago.

He leaves to mourn his loss four sons, Edward, Joseph and P.J. Crowley, all of Dubuque, and C.L. of Tulsa, Okla.; also three daughters, Mrs. John Kane and Mrs. William McCabe of Dubuque and Sister Mary Inviolata of Lawlor, Iowa, and eleven grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Friday morning from the Kane home to St. Columbkille's church at 9 o'clock. Interment will be made in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Friends are asked to omit flowers.
