Margaret "Peg" Crowley, 82, of Luther Manor, formerly of 1886 Flora View Drive, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2001, at Luther Manor. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, where there will be a flag presentation by the American Legion Post 6 of Dubuque. Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Sept. 6, 1918, in Dubuque, daughter of Patrick and Catherine (Kelly) Crowley. She graduated from the former Visitation Academy in 1937. As a medical laboratory technician she was associated with Dubuque Internal Medicine until her retirement in 1985. She was a World War II veteran, having served in the Navy WAVES. She was an avid golfer and took great pride in being the first member of the Lacoma Golf Club, where she enjoyed many rounds of golf including three hole-in-ones. She also enjoyed working at the Dubuque Arboretum with her electric clippers. She was a member of St. Anthony's Parish, and its rosary society.

Surviving are two sisters, Marie Grimm and Gwen Crowley, both of Dubuque; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Crowley, of Dubuque; seven nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Virginia Crowley and Mrs. Andrew (Modwena) Schroeder; and two brothers, Patrick and Robert Crowley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given St. Anthony's Church and to a charity of choice.
