The death of Mrs. Henry Humke, 79, occurred at her home in Center Township Tuesday morning at 7:15. She was born in Strausburg, Germany, on Sept. 17, 1849, and came to this country at the Age of 11 years. She first settled in Buffalo, N. Y., but after a short time came to Dubuque County where she has resided since. Mrs. Humke, nee Anna Marie Schultz, was married on March 21, 1872. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Minnie, at home, and Mrs. Louis Hauth, Dubuque; four sons, Charles, Fred, LeRoy, of Center Township, and George, of Monona, Ia.; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Deceased was a life-long member of the Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 from the home to the Presbyterian Church at Centralia. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
