The funeral of Richard A. Maher, of 1071 Main Street, was held from the Didesch Funeral Home to the St. Raphael’s Cathedral Saturday morning, the Rev. Francis D. Heimerman officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery where Fr. Heimermann said the prayers.

Active pallbearers were H. A. Bischoff, Donald Nicks, George Zillig, Harold Miller, Louis Meehan, and Frank Keys. An honorary escort representing the, 40 and 8 voiture was composed of Thomas E. Byrne, Dr. E. J. Ryan, Dr. R. M. Benn, Edward B. Chase, and Dr. C. D. Martinson. Representing the B & I. Barbershop Bowling team were Frank Cain, A. W. Reuter, A. J. Reuter, Lennie Berg, and Joseph Helling.

Military honors were accorded at the graveside. Participating were John J. Williams, commander; the Rev. Fred Landeck, chaplain; Eldo Block, bugler; Louis Ehlers, William Ernest, Merle Adams, Frank Kies, and Anthony DeMaio, color guard; and Arnold Sand; commander; Milton J. Delaney, Robert Bulick, George Traut, Charles Tschudi, and James W. Otto, members of the firing squad.
