Jacob J. Rhomberg, the well-known painter, died Tuesday morning at the family residence, 558 Lincoln Avenue, aged 62 years.

The deceased was born in Dornbirn, Voralberg, Austria, January 4, 1848. When a young man he immigrated to America, settling in Dubuque where he had since resided. Mr. Rhomberg was one of the best known painters in the city and had charge of many big jobs in his line of work in and around Dubuque. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and was a man held in high regard by his friends and acquaintances. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Jacob Fessler and Kate Rhomberg, and three sons, Joseph A., of Davenport, Jacob A. and Frank of this city.

The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 9 o’clock to the Sacred Heart Church and the burial will be in Mt. Calvary.
