CASCADE, Ia. – Louis Connolly, 64, of Cascade died at Mercy Hospital at 10 a.m. Friday.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church in Fillmore, with the Rev. Leo Connolly, son of the deceased, officiating.

Friends may call at Devaney Funeral Home in Cascade.

He was born Feb. 29, 1896 at Cascade, son of Jeremiah and Eliza Delaney Connolly. He farmed in Whitewater Township most of his life. He was married to Jessie Dolphin of Cascade, who preceded him in death in 1955.

He was a member of the Cascade Council of the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society of Fillmore.

Surviving are three sons, Patrick, Cascade; Vincent, Dubuque; and Rev, Leo Connolly, assistant pastor of St. Joseph’s Church in Dubuque; five daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Verla) Lehmann, Bankston, Ia.; Mrs. Thomas (Janell) Then, Epworth, Ia.; Sister Mary Louis, RFM, Detroit, Mich.; and Mrs. Donald (Vivian) Steffen, Peosta, Ia.; and Miss Nancy Connolly of Dubuque; seven grandchildren; and two brothers, Joseph, Farley; and Walter, Cascade.
