DIED
At Epworth, yesterday at noon, Abaigail, wife of O. J. Metcalf, at the age of 37 years, after four day sickness.

She leaves a sorrow stricken family of husband and four children, (one an infant), and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. The deceased had been a member of the Presbyterian Church for twelve years, always active and ready for Christian work, abounding in benevolence to the poor. She was a Sabbath school teacher of rare merit, having acquired a very great knowledge of the scriptures with utterance. Her faith in her Redeemer was simple and confident, never doubting that He had gone to prepare a mansion for her. She often spoke of the enjoyment of Heaven, of which she seemed to have a foretaste. But she is gone, a devoted wife, loving mother faithful Christian. “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.”
